Two little big words (I'm Sorry), now I know that sounds like a oxymoron but it's true. I'm Sorry is about the hardest things for some people to let flow from across their lips.
Let's do an exercise this will free you from the dread of saying those two little words. Ready lets go; repeat I Am Sorry, ten times and when you get to the tenth time you will feel a sweet relief from the depths of your soul. And next time you offend someone it won't be that hard for you to say' I'm Sorry
Ready; I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I did this little exercise with you and I must say it was refreshing because even though I didn't have anyone to apologize to; it will make it much easier when I really have too.
Such power little words and yet you would think that saying these words should help ease the pain, cheer up a broken heart, wipe tears from the eyes of someone that has been slandered, erase abuse and misuse. What I have found out is this; saying I'm sorry is sometimes not enough.
Words are harmful and can be really deadly and cruel; even if spoken in anger you can't erase the effects of what harsh words have done to a broken spirit or wounded soul. It takes times to heal hurtful words and saying I'm sorry is sometimes just not enough.
Then again there are some words that saying I'm Sorry will never be enough. There is no amount of time and space that will heal or cause you to forget. Words hurt, scare, belittle, dehumanize and cripple the soul and spirit.
What do you think? Put yourself in the place of someone who has just been falsely accused openly; only to find out you accused the wrong person. Now tell me, do you really think an I'm Sorry is going to fix it?
Let me know what you think on this subject
